Payal Arts International, LLC was founded by Payal S. Parekh in August 2008. This art consultancy practice is dedicated to advising new art enthusiasts, as well as seasoned art collectors, in the purchasing of artwork. We aid our clientele in establishing a collection that serves their individual goals and objectives, whether decorative, investment-oriented or thematic. Payal Arts International understands that art collecting can be daunting and strives to create a comfortable environment that serves the client’s individual needs. We also understand that purchasing art is a highly personal endeavor, requiring knowledge, patience and passion. We enjoy working with our clients as both advisor and team player in all aspects of the purchase and collection experience.

Payal Arts International also advises artists in a variety of ways, including providing portfolio review and consultation on potential sales opportunities.

A New Yorker of Indian descent, Payal Parekh is deeply immersed in both the New York art scene and the ever-expanding international art market. As a result, Payal Arts International has unique access to an extensive network of emerging and established artists and is able to offer both primary and secondary market material. Recognizing the global scope and orientation of the contemporary art world, Payal Arts International stresses diversity in art collecting. Ms. Parekh travels often to various global art fairs and continues to search for new talent while conducting studio visits in Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Ms. Parekh graduated with a BA in Art History from Mount Holyoke College in 2001 and received an MA specializing in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute, London in 2003. She has worked in both London and New York and held the position of Assistant Director at Fredericks & Freiser Gallery (New York), Silverstein Photography (New York) and Edwynn Houk Gallery (New York). In addition to owning Payal Arts International, Ms. Parekh also served as Director of Contemporary Photography at the Robert Miller Gallery (New York) and as Director of Sales at Sepia International Inc. (New York), a commercial gallery specializing in South Asian and Asian photography.
